Cosmopolitan Projects, the developers of Sky City, the World Class Model City south of Alberton has confirmed that a new private school is opening in January 2018. The school will be managed by Royal Schools which currently manages Royal Schools Alberton and 2 other schools in Pretoria.
Jaco Slabbert, marketing manager for Sky City, said the school is an integral part of Sky City, a world class mega development which will include 15 000 residential units, a shopping centre and clinics. “We’ve employed the industry’s best school-architect, graphic designers and renowned school operator to create a modern, state-of-the art school, complete with two sport fields and a full athletics track. It will undoubtedly be on par, if not better than other prestigious schools in the area,” he said.
The developer is offering the entire infrastructure at cost to school operator, according to Slabbert. “This saving will be passed on to lower monthly school fees, which will be cheaper than those of similar schools in Gauteng”. The monthly school fees will be R1760 in 2018. “Cosmopolitan Projects has enjoyed significant growth in recent years, to the extent that it is now the largest residential developer in its market sector in Gauteng. We see this school as our way of giving back. There is a need for a top quality school in the area and we are committed to raising the standard.”
The school will be completed by 30 October 2017 said Dr. Bennie Fourie the Managing Director of Royal Schools. “At full capacity, the school will accommodate 1655 learners. It will commence with classes from Grades RRR to Grade 9 in 2018, and will extend to Grade 12 in 2021”.
Sky City includes a variety of different types of homes that will appeal to investors and families alike. The developers’ quality and style in residential homes can be seen 7 days a week from 09:00 to 17:00 at Sky City. The first phase of the development is basically sold out.
Enrollment for the school has already started and there are only a limited number of spaces available. The team on site are happy to discuss the school with any visitor.
